We are learning our body parts in Spanish. The kids are really enjoying learning them and then singing the body parts song in Spanish. Some kids know most of them and like to teach their friends.
We also love to see our butterflies in their cocoons.
In another news, Cameron started potty training this week. Good luck Cameron!

Ms. Heather is reading the book Pajama Time! Almost every day because the kids love it! maybe one day we can have a Pajama day.

The kids had so much fun during our in house field trip-petting zoo– most of the kids enjoy touching and petting the animals. Some kids were a little scare and chose not to pet them but they still have fun looking […]
Last Friday I was changing Sophia’s diaper and I said “oh no, Sophia I have something in my eye” Sophia asked me what it was so I told her it was just probably an eyelash. So a few seconds later she said “oh no Ms. Maria, I have something in my eye too” I asked her “what is it” and she said “it is a bumblebee.“
And today she told me “the bumblebee is out of my eye.“
all I can say is that I love my Toddlers!

Please keep practicing at home washing hands after using the potty and after a diaper change. If your child forgets, remind her/him and encourage her/him to do it.
The children are also practicing wiping their own noses. You can practice with them at home, we say “squeeze and pull”.
We want to say good bye to Carter, he is moving to the Primary program to classroom 6 with Ms. Jorganne and Ms. Alyssa.

Sameer started potty training and he is doing amazing! we have seven kids that are potty training. Please talk to any of CR4 staff if you have any questions about what signs to look for readiness in potty training.
We are reading the books A Potty for Me! and Once Upon a Potty.

Kristina and KJ started potty training this week and they are doing awesome!
Even if your child is not ready to start with potty training, invite her/him to use the potty at every diaper change. This way they will get familiar with the process.
Here are some important tips:
Pull-ups are not helpful in the toilet learning process. The child never has the opportunity of feeling wet, as everything is warm and contained in a pull up. When a child wears underwear, the wet sensation is very different and the child will start to make the connection of needing to sit on the toilet. The process of toilet training takes time and each child progresses at his/her own pace.

Last week we had some leftover bread from lunch, so that afternoon I gave it to the kids with some jelly on it and they loved it.
The kids kept asking for more. To make it more delicious this week they are going to spread the jelly on their own bread.
I will let you know how that goes!
