Ms. Kathy King joined Desert Garden Montessori in 2021, after teaching for seven years at Montessori Education Centre in Mesa. Ms. Kathy also spent many years teaching in the public school system. In 1993, she started out in west Phoenix teaching 3rd grade, then moved to central Phoenix to teach 4th grade for several years. After having her first child, she moved to a school in Tempe and worked in Kindergarten and 4th grade for the remaining 9 years. During this time, she obtained two Masters Degrees; Elementary Education and Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Endorsement. She also has her AMS certification. Ms. Kathy and her husband met at Tempe High in 1986 and have two spectacular sons, Elliot and Emery. They enjoy traveling and spending time discovering new places. Ms. Kathy also loves Korean food and dramas.
