Welcome to Classroom 3!

Dear Classroom 3 parents,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year in Classroom 3! I am so excited to get to know you all and to work with your children.

My name is Ms. Erica. This school year marks my 7th year working at Desert Garden. I have spent those 7 years working in the infant and toddler classrooms. While working, I completed my infant/toddler Montessori training from The Center for Guided Montessori Studies. It was something I put a lot of my own time and energy into, and a goal I am very proud to have achieved all while still working, learning and growing here at Desert Garden.

Thank you for trusting me with the care and growth of your children. I am here as a constant guide and supporter of not only your child, but for you as their parents. I truly believe in order for the child to get the most out of their Montessori experience here at Desert Garden, creating a partnership with the parents and making sure the child’s school and home routines align as best as possible, is one of my top priorities. In my experience, I have seen how critical a consistent routine in a child’s life is, and I will do everything in my power to give them that consistent routine while at school.

During your child’s time here in Classroom 3, I will guide them as they explore the classroom filled with works ranging from gross motor, fine motor, recognizing colors and shapes, and much more. A lot of the Montessori philosophy is learning self-care, as they will routinely clean up after themselves after meal times as well as wash their hands before meals and after diaper changes. This creates a sense of independence in the child as well as preparing them for their next environment.

If you would like to connect with me, please email me anytime at emiller@desertgardenmontessori.org. To best serve your child during the school day, please allow for a 24-hour turnaround time for an email response. Please also keep an eye on the Classroom 3 page on our website for additional updates.

It is going to be a great school year!

Stay well!

Ms. Erica
