Violinist Ayisha de Sandino received her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at Arizona State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. She received a Masters of Music from the University of New Mexico with a double concentration in Violin Performance and String Pedagogy, during which time she was a recipient of the prestigious Abraham Franck String Quartet Assistantship. In addition, Ayisha is certified in all 10 Suzuki Violin Books. Ayisha has performed around the world in numerous festivals, concerts, and solo recitals in places such as North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Central America, and the Caribbean. Ayisha has also been on the faculty of music festivals in the United States, Iceland, Australia, and Panama. Currently, she works as an active performer and pedagogue both locally and internationally. She teaches violin to Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle Year/High School students.
